#KittenCamp Bristol – take 2
November 15th, 2010 by Melanie Peck
Last week #KittenCamp returned to Goldbrick House in Bristol for a second dose of fluffy kitten goodies, this time joined by special guest speaker Dan Efergan, Creative Director of Online at Aardman Animations.
As always it was another action packed evening, with a selection of funny internet viral classics, lots of free beer (and Champagne for those with a more discerning palate), a man dressed as a giant cat, and of course the awesome Dan Efergan who led the campers through the whirlwind process that Aardman games go through once seeded out into the wild.

So, first for the cat factor … Printer Vs Cat, hilarious voiceover commentary of cat struggling with technology.
Followed by fainting kittens, a sweet yet slightly heart wrenching clip of two little kittens that suffer from a congenital condition called ‘Fainting Goat’ syndrome, a bizarre disorder that causes them to collapse every time they hear a sudden noise.
Continuing with the cuteness factor… Bob Marley Baby demonstrates the power of Reggae
And kids react to viral videos… (Watch out for the boy who would ‘take out his butchers knife, slice the kids up then snipe the woman in the head with his rifle’), cute!
Next throw in some music, mash- ups and a bit of geek-ness, (check out the Rubber Blog for the full lineup) and ending with the awesome Snow White Mash Up Song.
Then over to Dan for ‘Sex, Lies and Videogames’ (only without the sex and lies), on the journey of the Aardman Digital department and their online games.
Including a run down of some of his favorite recent gaming classics. From birth, through development and finally release into the big wide world and the hosting sites and seeding strategies that all Aardman games go through to make them ‘instant’ smash hits.
