This week’s charts have been dominated by the upcoming football world cup in South Africa and Britain’s Got Talent on ITV1. At the top of the brand chart is Nike’s World Cup 2010 campaign including a bearded Wayne Rooney! Also making the cut, but not the final Brazil 23 man squad, is Ronaldinho. Watch the ad below:

We have worked on many viral campaigns in the past, helping the creators of digital content get their viral videos and games amplified and seen by millions.

The proposition of the Viral Ad Network is a pretty simple one. We get your viral content, make it compatible with our network, then target it to the most relevant viewers in our audience for their enjoyment and consumption. We then pay our publishers for each time an engagement is made by a user on their site.

Below is a little tale of a campaign we worked on with our friends Cosmic Station & Associates to help launch the video assets that accompanied a wider PR campaign for the launch of the LG Crystal Mobile last year.

The presentation exemplifies how VAN works to launch, execute and report on your campaign and the type of results that can be achieved from a potent mix of good content and effective distribution.

Take a look, add a flake and pass around to your pals who have ace content. We’ll help give it an audience:

A very Happy New Year to all our publishers! December was an incredibly hectic month for us as advertisers squeezed out the last remnants of end of year budgets and launched sales driving campaigns for Christmas. In total we were running over 30 campaigns before the start of the New Year!

Of course in 2009 advertisers are going to be more meticulous than ever in assessing the performance of their budgets and efficacy of their campaigns… but this will mean we will be very well placed to attract more advertisers as our medium and content provides exactly those reporting tools and fastidiousness of targeting that advertisers desire. The upswing at the end of 2008 demonstrated just that and we have already been privy to forecasts and projections that suggest our client base will continue to grow throughout 2009.

Which means, of course, that we are on the look-out for more quality publishers. We have found that referrals from our current publishers have worked brilliantly and we would be delighted to know of any sites you would suggest.

Similarly we are finding that our new syndicated content units are performing very well for those publishers who have taken them up, taking time-consuming administrative tasks away and allowing greater flexibility of attractive content. We are always happy to work something bespoke out for your site so do let us know if you want to give them a try!

Continuing in my re-posts of videos from the initial launch of our ad network, is this video I made to explain how you can use video content (such as the videos that we give our publishers for placement during a campaign) to perform additional SEO (search engine optimisation) on your pages.

Personally I feel that this is one of the great differentiators between our advertising network and the bulk of online advertising – that our content is often so enjoyable that you can place it as the centre point of a blog post or article, and drive traffic to your site just to view it.
